italian soprano, is one of the most celebrated opera singers, know for the beautiful, mellow, warm color of her voice, volume, clear diction, refined vocal technique.

After winning the Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition in Philadelphia (1996) she sung Tosca with Luciano Pavarotti , she has performed at many of the world's leading opera houses including Teatro alla Scala in Milan (Madama Butterfly and Don Carlo), Metropolitan Opera House in NY (Aida) and ROH Covent Garden in London (Il Trovatore), Opéra Bastille in Paris (Tosca).

Fiorenza Cedolins has performed for the openings of the season of many Italian theatres including Bologna's Teatro Comunale (2003/2004 - Verdi’s I Masnadieri); Teatro Regio in Turin (2005/2006 - Aida); Festival Verdi in Parma (2007 – Verdi’s Luisa Miller); Teatro La Fenice in Venice (2008 - Puccini’s La Rondine), Teatro alla Scala in Milan (2008 - Verdi’s Don Carlo).

Amongst her performances are Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana with Riccardo Muti at the Ravenna Festival; Verdi’s Simon Boccanegra in Montecarlo conducted by Daniel Oren; Norma in Catania, Tokyo, Genova, Barcelona, Ancona, Bilbao and Barcelona, Aida in Napoli and at the Arena di Verona, Cilea’s Adriana Lecouvreur in Trieste and Roma; Donizetti’s Poliuto in Bilbao, Donizetti’s Maria Stuarda at the Teatro La Fenice in Venezia, Andrea Chénier at the Teatro Real in Madrid, Il Trovatore at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino under Zubin Mehta, and than at the Arena di Verona, Parma, Tokyo, Francoforte, München, Palermo, Napoli, Barcelona and London. She was also Madama Butterfly at the Liceu in Barcelona, Luisa Miller at the Teatro Real in Madrid.

Her Verdi's roles included also I lombardi alla prima crociata, La battaglia di Legnano; Puccini’s roles included also Manon Lescaut, Gianni Schicchi, Suor Angelica,Tabarro, Le Villi, Turandot (Liù),

She performed Verdi’s Messa di Requiem at the Arena di Verona, Avery Fischer Hall in New York under Lorin Maazel, Royal Albert Hall in London under Daniele Gatti, Auditorium Santa Cecilia in Roma under Zubin Mehta, Konzerthause in Vienna under Riccardo Chailly.

She has received several prestigious awards included "Premio Abbiati della Critica Italiana 1999/2000", Opera Award 1999, Opera Award 2001, Zenatello Arena di Verona 2000 and 2001; Premio Campoamor “best singer of the year 2008”, also the “Artist of the Year Award 2007” at the Liceu in Barcelona from “IV and V Piso Association” and Premio Muse 2009 in Firenze,

Her discography includes Cilea’s Gloria, Verdi’s Il Trovatore live in Parma, Tosca with the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and also Luisa Miller Denis Krief's production live in Parma, Tosca Hugo De Ana's production and Madama Butterfly Franco Zeffirelli's production live at the Arena di Verona, Puccini’s La rondine Graham Vick's production live in Venice, Norma live in Tokyo and Barcelona, the DVD “Dedicate to Puccini” at the Teatro del Giglio in Lucca for the Puccini’s Anniversary Celebrations.

In October 2009, Fiorenza Cedolins was also appointed Artistic Director at the Rassegna Lirica Torelliana - Teatro della Fortuna in Fano.

In the 2011 season, she was invited for Falstaff at the Liceu in Barcelona, Fabio Luisi conducting, Pagliacci Grisha Asagarov's production at the Opernhaus Zurich, Madama Butterfly at the Wiener Staatsoper, Un Ballo in maschera David Pountney's production at the Opernhaus Zurich, Simon Boccanegra at the Wiener Staatsoper under Myung-Wung Chung, Don Carlo in Sevilla, La Bohème at the Arena in Verona, Otello Graham Vick's production at the Opernhaus Zürich.

In 2012, Fiorenza Cedolins has performed in Luisa Miller in Bilbao, La Bohème in Barcelona, a new Poliuto's production of Damiano Michieletto and Otello under Daniele Gatti in Zürich, Carmen in Arena di Verona and she was invited in Salzburger Festspiele for singing with Placido Domingo at the Benefizkonzert conducted by Mº Zubin Mehta.
